Blue Cart at the Forteto della Luja
Today's Nietzsche quote is one I want to hold onto, one I want to meditate on. When I was at the Forteto last week, it struck me what rugged individualists the people who own it are, and how I have come to treasure and respect my own individuality as we have followed the path less taken:
The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.
